Alifuspot

Alifuspot, a character summoned by a then six-year-old Jeffrey Morris, was brought to life, when I decided to illustrate and publish his story "The King and the Alligator" as a birthday gift. The small edition run of copies sold out within a very short time, using Facebook as means to spread the word.

Alifuspot feels like a dear friend to me now, and we have many adventures to take the reader through.
It would be great if we could get a major publisher interested!

Update & refurb

Space 109 asked if I could help with updating their logo, and I immediatley jumped at the oppportunity.

They are also in progress of hoping for funding to update their shop exterior.

To help them with their quest, using photoshop I manipulated a photograph of the existing shop front and gave them different ideas to play with.

Once the final look has been decided, I shall put up some of the other ideas that were submitted. As with all things, getting funding can take time, so watch this space!

Boom!

Not able to go out in fear of bringing my due date closer, I chose to take a look out of our attic window and take a few shots of the fireworks instead.

Community Pride Awards

An event which has had the same logo which I produced (all own created fonts) and has been used since 2007. Its great when something works that well ;)

Get ready to party

A photo-montage produced to go alongside an article for the Press. This was very enjoyable to produce.

Afghanistan memorial appeal logo

One of the many exciting jobs working within an editorial department in a news corporation is producing logos for campaigns and appeals. This particular one had to have council approval also.
Recognise the soldier? It's Prince Harry. All of them!

Sculpture, Space 109, York

Ah, sculpture.... ACE FUN! Mathew, a fellow student at the life drawing class at Space 109, gave a lucky group a lesson in sculputre. We spent several weeks modelling a bust of one his stone mason collegues from York Minster.
Once this was finished we made a cast from plaster and filled it with cement fondue. I have only managed to chip out part of the cast to reveal the final sculpture. I plan to finish the piece after child birth. Mathew did offer to do it for me (not the child-birth part), but I want to finish it myself!

Life Drawing, Space 109, York

Space 109 - a brilliant gem of a group enables York's residents to take part in many artistic endeavours. Life drawing is just one of the many things I have enjoyed there.
